McIntyre Powder Project is returning to Timmins May 11th and 12th at the Ramada Inn, 1800 Riverside Dr. Timmins, ON.
Mine and mill workers who were exposed to McIntyre Powder aluminum dust (or their survivors) are invited to participate in this important occupational disease clinic. Registration information will be publicized in the coming weeks - stay tuned! Miners and survivors are traveling to Timmins from as far away as British Columbia and North Carolina for this! The Sudbury Star article below describes the Intake Clinic, which is an initiative of the United Steelworkers District 6, with partners OHCOW (Occupational Health Clinic for Ontario Workers) and the Office of the Worker Advisor. My union, OPSEU (Ontario Public Service Employees Union) is sponsoring a coach bus for a day trip from Elliot Lake to Timmins, to allow Elliot Lake area mine workers or their survivors to participate in the Intake Clinic.
